Church First Assembly of God
Television Ministry

The Television Ministry at First Assembly is one of the 'behind-the-scenes' ministries where not very many people see the labor of the ministry, but many see its fruit.

This ministry is involved in many facets of the church.  The main function of this ministry is video taping the Sunday services to be broadcast on the local pubic access channel here in Jefferson City, Missouri.  Our future goal is to eventually broadcast on various full-powered stations in the area.

This ministry also tapes various special events, such as the Adult and Children's seasonal choir productions, the Missionettes Honor Star ceremonies, special speakers, concerts, etc.

Various video productions are also produced by the Television Ministry such as photo montages and ministry promotions that are compiled and set to music for various groups and individuals.

The Television Ministry is also responsible for showing the words for the choruses and hymns on the overhead screen in the sanctuary during the worship times in the services.

Audio (and sometimes video) of the Sunday sermons is also captured by the Television Ministry equipment to be uploaded to the church's website.

The Television Ministry uses Newtek's VT[4] as its main video processing machine.   It is used to show the choruses and hymns, used as the switcher between the video sources, and used to create video projects from digitized footage.
